This Internet-Famous Bedding Brand Just Released 7 Incredibly Detailed (Read: Gorgeous) Duvet Covers… We Can’t Pick Our Favorite

Whoever started the trend of solid white and navy comforters is on our sh*t list.

Let’s face it: most bedding companies tend to favor traditional, predictable simplicity. And by that we mean solid colors and the occasional stripe. Just because we’re adults doesn’t mean we need—or want—a plain grey comforter. (It’s time someone said it out loud). So you can imagine our excitement when we discovered that Buffy (already our top choice for bedding) released 7 new and jaw-droppingly detailed duvet covers.

A lil’ sneak peek… (you’re welcome).

The DL on Our All-Time Favorite Bedding from Buffy

Before we get into the gorgeous designs themselves, we want to address the first question on your mind: why Buffy? Founded in 2017, Buffy makes bedding designed for (a) maximal comfort and (b) minimal environmental harm. Essentially, Buffy has proven that working with the Earth (rather than against it) is the ticket to sheets, comforters, and pillows that remain unrivaled in comfort, durability, and style

The aforementioned ~new~ patterns are only available in the Breeze Duvet Cover, which is perfect considering that this collection, the Breeze Sheets, are 10x award-winning (and counting). True to form, Buffy’s Breeze bedding is made with the woven eucalyptus fabric lyocell, known for its breathability and moisture-wicking effects. Buffy’s Breeze Line is famous for keeping you and your bed at the exact right temperature. It’s a little bit like sleeping on the cool underside of your pillowevery single night. Now, imagine applying that feature to your comforter? Game-changing.

Fondly, Florals

In order to achieve the ornate final products that are the *floral* Breeze Duvet Cover(s), Buffy partnered with Anona Studio, a design studio who specializes in clothing and home accessories. Anona works span a rainbow of colors and mediums, but each design shares a whimsically timeless quality, one that is impossible not to feel upon first glance.

Nirvana

True to its name, Nirvana evokes, well… bliss. A creamy hemp-colored base is overlaid with beige flowers and green-yellow centers, strategically placed for an abstract, mosaic effect. The underside of this duvet cover is light pink, so the end can be folded upward for a touch of warmth or the entire cover can be flipped. Essentially, this design is a two-in-one. Love

Olea Leaf

Olea Leaf takes a similar approach with a light pink underside and warm beige top. Instead of flowers, the design here is a ring of pale rust-colored leaves, altnerately filled in and curving a horseshoe shape around the center of the duvet. This was our staff favorite for both neutral and playful duvet cover—a difficult line to toe.

Blossom

Somehow, this design feels nostalgic, even though we’ve never seen another quite like it. Featuring the same pink underside as its counterparts, this spread is special for the portrait-style print of soft, pink flowers sprouting from the base of the bed. Deep chartreuse leaves and stem ground the comforter in a neutral—decidedly un-traditional—color.

A Case of The Stripes

The following designs were carefully curated by the Buffy team themselves. Each is a variation on the classic “stripes” but not one is merely a two-tone alternating line. We appreciate the floral designs for their unabashed botanical aesthetic, but these Buffy stripes are incredibly detailed (and bold) in their own right.

Big Sur Stripe

If you glance too quickly at the Big Sur Stripe, you might mistake it for another Buffy favorite: the Blue Stripe. Look closely, and you’ll see that the former is really a combination of eggshell, pale indigo, and pastel blue. The result is an utterly complex color scheme, subtle enough to be unimposing yet eye-catching.

Cape Cod Stripe

If you inverse Big Sur Stripe, the result is Cape Cod Stripe. Rather than filling eggshell into the widest lines, Cape Cod uses a heathered blue in its place, alongside pale indigo and white. When you zoom out on the entire bed, the result is a cool, aquatic-toned duvet.

Barrister Stripe

Barrister Stripe is another fresh take on an old trick. Rather than leave a classic cerulean-and-white pinstripe as-is, Buffy adds a thin aqua blue line down the center of each white line. This detail is difficult to see from afar, but regardless of where you stand when you lay eyes on Barrister Stripe, it’s instantly apparent that this design is different.

Cambridge Stripe

This was our staff pick for stripes (a decision we took very seriously, and carefully debated) for its optically illusive quality. It almost appears to be a pale purple and pastel blue striped pattern, but upon closer inspection, Cambridge Stripe combines different width lines of cerulean blue with thin white and grey stripes for an unparalleled end result. We’ve quite literally never seen anything like it (and certainly not on a bed).

Wrapping Snuggling Up…

It goes without saying, but here at The Suite, we have a minor obsession with high-quality bedding. Time and again, we’ve seen Buffy forge their own path when it comes to bedding design and quality, but even we were surprised when we came across these fresh new patterns. Life is too short (er, too long?) for dull, basic comforters

Another feature that Buffy is famous for? Their 7-night free trial. You can sleep with any Buffy product up to 7 nights without paying a dime… what’s there to lose? Several of our team members trial-ran multiple designs to see which of Buffy’s new patterns best fit their rooms. Not one of them decided to return.

Experience the difference that beautifully designed bedding makes… with 30 colors and 7 *new* designs to choose from, there’s a Buffy Duvet Cover for everyone (we guarantee).
