Meet Buffy’s New Sumptuously Plush, Highly Absorbent & Quick Drying Luxury Bath Towels
One household item we tend to take for granted is a bath towel. As with all great discoveries, the catalyst for this realization was change. This month our team tried out the Deluxe Cotton Bath Towels from our go-to bedding brand, Buffy. Just a few weeks in, we’ve come to a consensus: the “towels” we were using prior are a poor excuse for what we now know to be the real deal of bath towels (thanks to Buffy).
Brushing Up on Buffy
Here’s what you need to know:
- Famous for the ultra soft Cloud Comforter (most reviewed comforter online!)
- All Buffy products are developed in the most sustainable way possible, cruelty- and chemical-free (and organic when applicable)
- Founded in 2017, bedding is their forte: they sell bed sheets, pillows, comforters, mattress protectors, and towels…
The entirety of Buffy’s bed-friendly inventory is met with adoration and immediately scooped up by their most loyal fans. That’s precisely why we’re giving you a heads-up about their Deluxe Cotton Bath Towels… there’s no way they’re gonna stay in stock for long.
Our Impression
Most of us don’t think about towels because there isn’t much to consider, right? Not exactly. Buffy’s bath towels brought us to several simultaneous revelations, the first being that not all towels are created equal. Buffy’s are heavy in the same way that a vintage knit sweater is… you can tell they are items of substance.
Another surprise was that they are sold in pairs. Gone are the days of drying off with a T-shirt when your singular towel is in the wash—with Buffy’s dual set, there will always be one ready and on-hand (we rejoiced over this). And then, of course, the way they feel to touch… the best word is “dreamy.” You know those sandpaper-y towels at old hotels that feel exfoliating treatment? Picture Buffy’s Deluxe Cotton Bath Towels on the complete opposite end of the spectrum.
First-in-Class Components
In classic Earth-conscious fashion, Buffy’s bath towels are made with 100% organic cotton. They use Premium Turkish Cotton, known for its impressionability (like the Linen Sheet Set, they soften with use) and durable long-fiber weave. Experts prize this fabric over other options because it pulls moisture away from other surfaces, instead of moving the water around your skin. Bonus: the towel’s thickness means that overall yarn surface area is increased, so the towel itself is rapid-drying too. Plus, their materials boast an OEKO-TEX certification, which means they are free of hard chemicals (that’s what we like to hear).
At the end of the day, all that anyone requires of a towel is noticeable softness. Buffy delivers and then some. The Deluxe Cotton Bath Towels are gloriously plush, coming in at 850 grams per square meter (gsm). For reference, Brooklinen’s towels are only 820 gsm.
Decisions. Beautiful, Colorful Decisions
It’s always nice to have options. And when it comes to Buffy’s Deluxe Cotton Bath Towels, there are six.
The colors available to choose from include White (as crisp as it sounds), Lunar (brownish gray), Wheat (warm beige), Lavender (fresh pastel purple), Navy (medium-toned blue), and Cloud (pale gray). There’s a shade for every adjective that comes to mind… playful, traditional, minimalist, earthy.
The Cost of Buffy
When our towels arrived, we went around taking bets on how expensive we thought they had to be, given their weight and ever-so-smooth feel. The lowest guess was $60 and highest was $150 (neither were correct). Sold as they are, in pairs, each set of Deluxe Cotton Bath Towels is only $105 (or $52.50 per towel). We poked around some other brands for comparison’s sake (Brooklinen, Cozy Earth, Coyuchi, and Parachute to name a few) and found towels of the same size ranging from $43 to $78. Not only is Buffy quite fairly priced on its own, but in the context of competitors their price tag falls onto the (much) lower end of the spectrum.
It’s Also Worth Noting…
In light of these classy qualities, you might expect Buffy’s bath towels to require extra care… but not so! They are machine washable (cold) and dryer-friendly (low). Just don’t use bleach… not that you would, and in doing so risk damaging the rich color of these towels. If you follow these (essentially intuitive) steps, these towels are projected to last you a literal lifetime.
Buffy Made Them Risk Free To Try
Another additional perk offered by Buffy is their ever-present 7-night free trial, 50-day free return window. Any product you’re considering, be it pillows, bedding, etc, can essentially be rented for seven nights so that you can trial-run them before committing. You won’t be charged until the end of the trial, and if you do opt out, returns are free. Otherwise, after purchasing, you have roughly seven weeks (50 days) during which you can return them for free. Why not give Buffy a whirl?
Bathtime = Buffy Time
Buffy has been around for seven years now, but no one seems to have been able to get over the revolution they’re making in their sphere. With endless awards and a parade of product launches that continue to outdo the last, all we can tell you is that Buffy is a brand to watch. And to partake in, when you get the chance.
There are a select few personal items that we engage with on a near-daily basis (like bath towels), and because there’s no way out of this, it’s important that the quality of said items is up to par. Otherwise, you’re looking at a pretty sad routine. Sound dramatic? Maybe it is. But we will say that out of our team members who have switched to Buffy’s Deluxe Cotton Bath Towels, not a single one of us went back to their old towel brand(s). And that’s worth noting.
