Introducing Mira & Inito
Mira was founded in 2015 and released the Mira Hormone Monitor three years later, in 2018. The final product – now recognized as “America’s Highest Rated Fertility Monitor” – combines lab-grade precision with artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms powered by 25 million hormone data points to analyze users’ hormones in real time and deliver personalized insights.
For our purposes, we ordered Mira’s Max Kit, which is their best seller.
Inito was also founded in 2015, and in the same year, it launched the Inito Fertility Monitor, initially compatible with Apple’s iPhone. In June 2025, the company released its first wireless model, now compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Inito’s algorithms are trained on over 1 million hormone data points to enhance the accuracy of hormone trend analysis and fertility predictions.

The Mira Hormone Monitor and Inito Fertility Monitor are both FDA registered.
That said, Mira meets international health standards beyond the US-based FDA, as demonstrated by their ISO 13485 certification (certifying top-tier medical device quality and compliance) and MDSAP compliance (meeting regulations set by the US, Canada, and Australia).
In short, Mira confidently connects their customers to cutting edge technology, rather than opting for the faster, more affordable (and often less accurate) alternative. We appreciate speed as much as the next person, but our team was unanimous in valuing reliability over convenience.
Best Fit by Use Case
As suggested by its name, the Inito Fertility Monitor is designed for people who are trying to conceive (TTC). The device is proven to support people with average-length cycles, and its results (a) predict the window of fertility and (b) confirm ovulation.
Mira’s Hormone Monitor accurately interprets irregular cycle lengths as well. Thus, their technology supports people in broader journeys with hormone health as well as those TTC.
In addition to TTC, applications for the Mira Hormone Monitor include managing irregular cycles, detecting hormonal imbalances, better understanding one’s body, and (if applicable) navigating PCOS.
Customers may also use Mira to evaluate their proximity to menopause and, in doing so, take control of an otherwise often tumultuous experience.
Mira’s Hormone Monitor is multifunctional. Inito’s Fertility Monitor is single-purpose, as it caters only to regularly ovulating customers trying to conceive.
App Experience, Data Interpretation & Clinical Support
Mira’s top-rated app supports its broad range of use cases. It is formatted as a digital diary and landing spot for hormonal data. Users have access to detailed hormone curves, numeric data points, and clear visuals. The opportunity to log personal symptoms alongside hormone tests allows users to identify and recognize patterns in their bodies over time. As a whole, the Mira app provides an optimal experience for data-driven users.
Hormonal data results are exportable through the Mira app so that they can be shared directly with clinicians in a lab-grade format. This makes Mira a strong choice for those working directly with a doctor.
The Inito Fertility Monitor also pairs with an app, but its result-driven interface is arguably less specific than Mira’s. Fertility test results are presented in color-coded, high-level charts, designed to be digestible for first-time users. While you can share these graphs with a doctor, they are not as precise as Mira’s. For this reason, Inito is generally recommended for people who need only confirmation of ovulation and can do without further details.

In 2019, Inito’s founder Aayush Rai made the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 list for healthcare and science. Beyond this feature, we couldn’t find additional industry-distributed writing about Inito’s fertility monitor.
On the product side, The Mira Max Kit has an average rating of 4.7/5 stars, based on just over 2,500 reviews. Inito falls slightly behind with an average rating of 4.3/5 stars based on 1,388 reviews.
To throw some more numbers into the mix, the Inito website boasts 20k+ users, which was impressive until we learned that Mira has a customer base of 150k families (across 115 countries).
