Cadence’s Award-Winning Travel Companion Gets a Major Upgrade, and It’s the Collection You’ve All Been Begging For

06.12.2023Author: The Suite Staff

Cadence made a revolutionary travel capsule in 2020, then sold 1.5 million of them.

So, odds are you’ve seen some of these Instagrammable inventions on your feed a time or two. This magnetic system of buildable and refillable containers made with recycled, ocean-bound plastic caught the attention of hundreds of thousands devoted fans and some big names in the industry… Time Magazine even named it a “Best Invention of 2022.”

For 3 years Cadence’s capsules have been providing a versatile (and chic) solution for transporting all your essential items. They’ve proven that there’s always a market for a thoroughly thought out and meticulously designed product…

If it fulfills a need, that is. But the people decided that they needed more.

You Asked, Cadence Answered: Introducing the New Flex System

Previously only available in the .56-ounce size, these new capsules have a wider mouth and come in multiple sizes, so you can tailor yours to your own specific routine. There’s even a 1.43-ounce Extender ($14), which you can screw onto the new small ($14), medium ($22), or large ($36) to essentially make your own size.

Clearly they listened to your comments about needing it for shampoo, because now you could basically fit a whole bottle in one of these (with a couple of Extenders on there…) But the best part is that they can be as large or as small as you like—and with the Extender you’re not locked into one iteration of the system.

The opportunities are endless here. 10 step skincare routine in the hotel bathroom? Check. Taking your special keratin shampoo wherever you go? Can do. All your daily vitamins efficient and organized in the tote bag? Totes.

Breaking the Cadence Components Down

The new system has some truly awesome design features that allow you to fight waste, save space, and keep to the cadence of your own routine:

  • The smaller 56 variant has the same capacity as the original Capsules (.56-ounces). But the new 56 has a shallower and wider profile, so it’s perfect for smaller pieces of jewelry or balms.
  • The medium 132 is a substantial upgrade in volume at 1.32-ounces, catering more towards things like body lotion, skincare products, or supplements.
  • The largest option, the 275, is 2.75-ounces and can accommodate larger things like body wash, sunscreen, or shampoo.

And, of course, any of these sizes can be extended or combined with the Extender add-on. It is called the “Flex System”, after all.

The Epitome of Organization, Convenience, and Personalization

Cadence kept everything people loved about the OG capsules and answered all of their requests for improvements (+ more) in this new Flex System. The capsules still have that iconic honeycomb, magnetic, and modular form that makes them so appealing—with a new matte texture that adds a fresh touch to the design.

Whereas—for some people—the original Capsules only held enough product for a weekend trip, this new system makes extended travel much more feasible. You could even just use them for a more compartmentalized routine at home.

But the most impressive thing about this release is that Cadence didn’t just rush out a larger product when they saw customers asking for more space. They really took their time to design an incredibly intuitive system where everyone’s needs could be met. Two thumbs up.
