Not to Stress Y’all Out, But Limited Edition Colors from Cadence Never Stick Around for Long
Our team discovered Cadence before everyone else caught on, and as tends to happen in these situations, the brand is blowing up. So… when we caught wind of their latest color palette, The Oceans Collections, we felt it was our due diligence to tell the people (you) as soon as possible.
Several of these shades were first released as a collection back in 2021. The launch was met with such excitement that avid Cadence fans (like us) have been eagerly awaiting the moment of their return. At long last, we’ve finally made it…
First, Allow Us to Introduce Cadence
Founded by Steph Hon in 2020, Cadence patented a revolutionary travel container called a “Capsule” which is magnetic, leak-proof, sturdy, and TSA-approved. Cadence Capsules are refillable screw-top vessels designed to store any on-the-go essentials: pills, skincare, hair products, jewelry… you name it.
Their TSA stamp of approval makes them flight-friendly, but we like to keep a few capsules in purses and gym bags as well. Filling the travel capsules with our own products saves the hassle of buying overpriced miniature toiletries in whatever brands the local pharmacy carries. (This inevitably interrupts our usual routine in the name of “convenience”). Cadence takes a whole new approach to convenience, and (unsurprisingly) their customizable capsules continue to be extremely well-received.
Speaking of “Customized”…
You can choose the colors and labels for each capsule you buy, resulting in a gorgeous and highly practical capsule system all your own. What’s more, is that Cadence occasionally rolls out limited edition color palettes in gorgeous hues… previous favorites of ours include The Neutrals and The Violet Edit. That said, Cadence color launches are notorious for selling out. Extremely fast. Like, so fast that we set reminders for today, July 18th, so we could order ASAP.
Now, getting down to the topic at hand. Exactly how pretty are The Oceans Collections, you ask? You tell us…
*Mic drop*.
A Colorful Play-By-Play
Two of the colors in this collection are retrievals from the Cadence archive: Arctic and Atlantic. We have it on good authority that limited throwback runs at Cadence are extremely rare… when a color runs out, it’s usually gone forever.
Pacific is from Cadence’s core collection of colors, which means it has so many loyal fans that the team decided to make the shade a full-time always-on option. It’s easy to see why, too—the cornflower shade of blue is equal parts playful and classic.
And the fourth? Santorini, one-half of Cadence’s Summer 2024 collection, is a deep, vibrant teal. Cadence has never made a shade like this one before, which is probably why it’s been flying off shelves since its release in early June.
Our <3 for Cadence Will Go On
If you need a way to take your favorite products on the go or to simplify your packing routine, Cadence is the solution you’ve been waiting for. The reusable, high-quality capsules are designed to stick around for years and years of adventures. Plus, a (re)launch is decidedly the best time to invest, because your color scheme will be even more personalized when it goes out of stock (as we know it will). If our praise isn’t enough for you, take it from TIME: Cadence Capsules ranked as a Best Invention of 2022.
At present, Cadence has no other collection quite like this one. The color scheme is eye-catching while remaining fairly neutral, and the designers hit the nail on the head when it comes to the theme. Even the names (Arctic, Atlantic, Pacific, Santorini) make us wanna book a flight. Or train. Whichever is the fastest route to the warmest beach.
