We’ve Been Around the Block When it Comes to Cadence Product Drops…
Earth Day 2024 is right around the corner. On April 16th, Cadence will release the first-ever Limited Edition Renew Earth Day Capsule. The last launch from Cadence sold out almost immediately, so the early bird gets the worm. But let’s not get too ahead of ourselves…
Who’s Cadence?!
Founded by Steph Hon in 2020, Cadence makes life-proof travel capsules meant to carry your routine on the road (whether you’re crossing town or the country). The goal is for customers to maintain their lifestyle with a set of leak-proof, TSA-approved, customizable capsules equipped to carry jewelry, meds, serums… you name it. Rather than buy pharmacy travel bottles (breakable) or travel-sized toiletries (overpriced), Hon’s intentionally designed capsules can be refilled with your very own beloved products. No spillage, no breakage, and no extra spending necessary.
Unsurprisingly, this business venture blew up overnight. Cadence has over 7,500 5-star reviews (and counting). The brand has also been raved about in a wide range of publications, from Vogue to The New York Times to Condé Nast Traveler, and in 2022, they were ranked a TIME “Best Invention.”
What Are Cadence Travel Capsules?
The 411 on Cadence Capsules? They’re magnetic, TSA-approved, and made with recycled plastic. Every capsule comes with a Tile label (pick from an extensive list of options, or write your own!). The travel capsules range in size from 0.56 fl oz to 2.75 fl oz, but Cadence carries a Flex Extender which can be attached to any capsule and add 1.43 fl oz (although this may surpass said TSA limits). Generally, capsules cost between $14 and $36, depending on size. The Renew Capsule comes in one size, the intermediate 1.32 oz, for $24.
Every Cadence Capsule is made with a blend of ocean-bound plastic and internal scrap plastic—50% of every capsule consists of entirely repurposed materials. The Renew Capsule puts even more repurposed plastic to use: 70% of every Renew Capsule is post-consumer plastic. Cadence isn’t interested in making a product that needs reinstallation. Your Capsule System might grow, but each piece is designed to (a) last a lifetime and (b) serve the Earth at the same time.
Why the Limited Edition Earth Day Capsules Are *Special*
Cadence has a core color collection full of rich, unique shades, but every once in a while, they unleash a new limited edition set. It should come as no surprise that these temporary collections quite literally fly off the (virtual) shelves. And that’s what brings us here today. For the first time ever, Cadence is releasing the Renew Earth Day Capsule, unique in that it is…
- Marbled (all previous capsules are solid colors)
- Made with more post-consumer content than any other capsule (70%!)
- Resembles the Earth from outer space (at least we think so)
Based on the popularity of Cadence’s last few limited-release product launches, the Renew Capsule will no doubt be a collector’s item. If you already have a Cadence Capsule System (props to you), adding a Renew Capsule (or several) will contribute a pop of whimsy to your collection. And if you have no capsules, why not build your set with a pattern that will be gone in just a few days? Not to mention, shipping is free when you spend $65, and if you decide to return or exchange any capsules, you can do so within 30 days for a refund or store credit.
TLDR; Like the last Cadence drop, these are sure to sell out fast
If you’re like us and looking for a way to honor Earth Day, investing in these capsules is the perfect approach. In doing so, you’ll be cleaning beaches, minimizing your single-use plastic consumption, and making your undoubtedly busy life even easier.
The day you choose Cadence is the day you say goodbye to frustrating, leaky, and expensive “minis” for your suitcase, purse, etc. The Cadence Renew Capsule launch is a win-win-win.
